Coaster is a new project by Bart Appel and Paul Dijkman. Inspired by heroes like Alex G, Deerhunter & Elliott Smith, they decided to take matters into their own hands. With a DIY mentality they went into their home studio: an attic room in Utrecht.

The result is Nothing Contagious, seven tracks in which Coaster captures memories, feelings and atmospheres and converts them into lo-fi dreampop. The guitar is central in every song and the gentlemen alternate on lead vocals. In this way the EP not only captures the atmosphere of a sultry summer evening, but also the collaboration between two friends who, after a long period of silence and self-exploration, dare to bring out their passion project.
